Thomas Banks, Moreno Blom, Mike Van Duivenbode, Scott Mitchell and Tom Lonsdale all secured their places into Saturday’s finale on Friday after coming through their respective groups at the Modus Super Series, to join Conor Heneghan, the winner of Group A earlier in the week.
Banks, who entered Friday’s play on 8 points from the opening day of Group C, topped the
group overall, despite only winning two of his five matches, as he recorded victories against
Simon Adams and Scott Campbell, with his three defeats coming against Moreno Blom, Jamie Atkins and Martin Grearson, to end on 12 points from a possible 20.
Elsewhere, Moreno Blom also progressed through to Saturday’s finale, after finishing 2nd overall on 12 points, whilst three players in Grearson, Adams and Atkins finished 3rd, 4th and 5th respectively on 10 points each, with Scott Campbell finishing bottom on 6 points.
In Group B, Mike Van Duivenbode topped the group overall, after winning three of his four
matches on Friday Evening, as he recorded victories against Stefaan Henderyck, Scott Mitchell and Steve Hine, with his only defeat coming against Tom Lonsdale, to end on 12 points from a possible 16.
Elsewhere, Scott Mitchell and Tom Lonsdale also progressed through to Saturday’s finale, after the pair finished 2nd and 3rd respectively overall, with Mitchell ending on 10 points and Lonsdale on 8 points, whilst Steve Hine finished 4th on 6 points and Stefaan Henderyck bottom on 4 points.
The Modus Super Series continues on Saturday with the conclusion of Week Nine with the six players battling it out for just one spot up for grabs at Champions Week, with play commencing from 7:30pm BST.
