Christian Kist was victorious on Sunday, in winning his third Winmau Challenge Tour title of the year, after defeating Connor Scutt in the decider, as the fourth weekend of the PDC’s second tier tour season ended in Milton Keynes.
Kist, who enjoyed back-to-back Challenge Tour successes in June with victories at Events 11 & 12, went all the way once again, as the Dutchman reached the final firstly by recording victories against Ted Evetts, Giovanni Stecconi, Sam Spivey, Lee Cocks, Harry Lane, John O’Shea and Derk Telnekes, to set up a clash with Englishman, Connor Scutt.
Nothing separated the pair during the early stages of the final, with four straight holds of throw, ending with Kist breaking Scutt’s throw in Leg Five with a 16 darter to move 3-2 ahead in a race to five.
‘The Lipstick’ went on to hit back-to-back 15 dart legs, which saw him seal a 5-2 victory to deny ‘The Sniper’ and pick up a hattrick of Challenge Tour titles in 2024, as well as the £2,500 top prize.
The PDC Winmau Challenge Tour season concludes between 2-3rd November with Events 21-24 taking place at the Mattioli Arena, Leicester. All live scores and results will be viewed via tv.dartconnect.com.
The top two players from the final 2024 Challenge Tour Order of Merit will secure a PDC Tour Card for 2025/26 as well as a place at the 2024/25 Paddy Power World Darts Championship.
