Daryl and Dirk Make World Series Finals

Daryl Gurney and Dirk van Duijvenbode will return to the Jack’s World Series of Darts Finals in September, after both were in the eight players to win through Friday’s Tour Card Holder Qualifier in Milton Keynes.

2022 runner-up Van Duijvenbode defeated Kim Huybrechts 6-1 – averaging 105.65 in their qualification decider – to book his place in the Amsterdam showpiece, which will see an expanded 32-player field competing for the title and £300,000 in prize money at AFAS Live.

Friday’s qualifier saw over 90 players in action, with rising Dutch star Wessel Nijman set to make his World Series debut on home soil.

Another former TV champion, Jose de Sousa, secured his World Series Finals return following a three-year absence respectively.

Cameron Menzies extended a successful group of events and a strong seasons performances with qualification following a final game clash with former UK Open winner Andrew Gilding.

Gabriel Clemens ensured German representation in Amsterdam, while Keane Barry and Rhys Griffin earned World Series Finals debuts.

The top eight players from the 2024 World Series of Darts Order of Merit will be seeded for next month’s event, while the remaining 24 players are to be drawn at random.

The first round will be held across the evening of Friday September 13 and the afternoon of Saturday September 14, with the second round taking place on Saturday evening.

The World Series of Darts Finals will then reach its climax on Sunday September 15, as the quarter-finals are held in the afternoon, before the tournament concludes with the semi-finals and final in a bumper evening session.

The tournament will be broadcast live on ITV4 in the UK, through the PDC’s worldwide broadcast partners including DAZN and Viaplay, and on PDCTV (excluding subscribers based in the UK, Germany, Austria & Switzerland).
