Chris Dobey picked up a third PDC Pro Tour title of the year on Thursday, after an 8-4 victory against Tommy Morris in the final of Players Championship 32, as the midweek double header concluded in Den Bosch.
Dobey – the winner of PC3 and PC9 in 2026 – went all the way once again as he reached the final firstly by recording victories against Marvin Kraft, Owen Bates, Mickey Mansell, Bradley Brooks, Krzysztof Ratajski and William O’Connor, to set up a clash with Morris.
The final began with Dobey racing into a 3-0 lead with winning legs coming in 16,11 and 14 darts respectively before Morris ended the run by picking up his first leg of the tie in Leg Four with a 14 dart hold of throw. The tie then saw five straight holds of throw ending with Dobey breaking his compatriot’s throw in Leg 10 with a 14 darter to move 7-3 ahead and within one of victory. Morris did pull one leg back before ‘Hollywood’ sealed an 8-4 victory with a 12 darter to pick up a third title of the year and for the third year running, the North East star has picked up a hattrick of Players Championship victories.
Morris’ memorable run to the final saw the Englishman record victories on the day against Mervyn King, Kim Huybrechts, Michael Van Gerwen, Charlie Manby, Michael Smith and Scott Williams, before being denied by Dobey. With his run to the tournament showpiece, Morris has all but secured a debut appearance at next month’s Players Championship Finals having secured a spot at the Paddy Power World Darts Championship via the 2026 Challenge Tour Order of Merit.
Elsewhere, there were Quarter Final runs for recent Pro Tour Event Winner Karel Sedlacek and 2023 German Darts Champion Ricardo Pietreczko. The day also saw three nine-dart legs hit by Tom Sykes, Bradley Brooks and Wesley Plaisier in victories against Cor Dekker, Adam Gawlas and Damon Heta respectively.
The PDC Pro Tour season concludes next week on November 4-5 in Leicester with Players Championship 33 & 34 taking place and the field for the 2026 Ladbrokes Players Championship Finals in Minehead will be confirmed. 128 players will compete for £150,000 in prize money each day and play will be broadcasted across four streaming boards on PDC.TV and various bookmaker websites worldwide, with all live scores and results on tv.dartconnect.com.
