Awesome August for Team 360

Red Dragon Darts

The ADC Vault events have become an integral part of our Team360 and it was no
different last week. Fabian Tapner has been on a roll recently and continued that as he
met fellow 360 member Cori Wiltshire in Newport.

Adam Dee came up just short in his latest vault attempt, losing out in a deciding leg to
David Green. Dee had reached a high of a 91 average in his group but couldn’t find his
top hear in the knockout stages despite making a final. Tapner would also be in
attendance a few days later, penning another vault final.

Connor Hopkins made it two from two for the week as he sealed back-to-back vault
wins in style. Whitewash wins over Alec Small and then Carl Hoffman saw him open his
account for the week before an 88 average carried him to a 3-2 win over Carl Williams in
his second weekly win. The young Welshman would make it three of the best later that
week with a win over Mark Challenger.

Hannah Meek contested the Coventry open to satisfy her darting appetite, winning four
of her six group matches. She would then average 78 in her opening knockout game but
fall just short despite an impressive display.

Our final vault report comes from the North-East in the shape of Ryan Branley. The
youngster is reaping the benefits of playing on the Development Tour and turning him
into an even scarier prospect on the local scene, showing so in a 3-0 win over James
Tate in this vault final.

Away from the ADC series there was another superleague win for Jack Nankervis and a
Smock open victory for Nathan Potter on the back of some impressive performances at
the Development Tour the previous week.

Fabian Tapner made the semi-finals on his first vault attempt of the week, losing out to
seniors regular Mike Huntley in the final four. The young Welshman’s second attempt
came on Sunday evening, falling at the same stage to a 90 average from Keaton
Williams.

Kidderminster proved a happy hunting ground on Tuesday evening for Cayden Smith as
he collected another ADC title. There was also a new addition to the 360 team in the
early stages of last week with Joe Flenley joining the squad. He kicked off life with
Winmau with a win, an ADC vault title on debut for Team360.

Whilst JDC chairman Steve Brown was sauntering about Florida, PJ Stewart was hard at
work on the dartboard, reaching the last eight on his return to action, going oh so close
to reaching the semi-finals.

Adam Dee confirmed his number one status in the WDF youth ranks with a further
semi-final double followed by two more finals. The Irishman has been a huge threat
over the past 18 months on the WDF tour and will continue to do so when he steps up to
the senior ranks.

Riley Rees-Tucker was in superleague action from Brecon and despite not hitting his
sparkling best, a 148 checkout was certainly a stand out moment.

Before we get the action from our Team360 stars, first we have to welcome a quartet of new names to the stable. Drake Porter and Jack Johnson step up from the JDC Cadets with Jack Peet and Joe Flenley also joining the team after impressing in JDC competition.

Young Aidan O’Hara was back in Irish Masters competition last week as he reached the semi-finals on the singles event. ‘The Onion’ also reached the final four of the men’s pairs event showcasing his skills in senior competition.

That wasn’t the only success for Ireland as Rebecca Allen claimed glory in the JDC Academy Nations Cup in the girl’s singles. Allen has previously narrowly defeated Hannah Meek in the final four following an impressive display from both, before she blew away her opponent in the final.

Allen also reached the semi-finals of the girl’s pairs, with Jack Nankervis claiming the boy’s pairs title in Coventry for England. In fact Nankervis would make it a double scoop as England claimed the overall five nations title, a team that contained Hannah Meek after her final appearances in the girl’s singles.

Fabian Tapner would also put in some strong performances for Wales, completing the event in fourth place on the averages chart. Riley Rees-Tucker was also highly placed on the averages chart for his super league season, finishing with a 75 season average.
