Debutant Wilson Wins Finals Night Spot

Carl Wilson secured his place in Saturday’s finale on Wednesday, after winning four of his five matches to end his Group A campaign, top, as the field was confirmed for Groups B and C at the Modus Super Series.

Wilson, who entered Wednesday’s play on 16 points from the opening two days of Group A, topped the group overall, after winning four matches from five for the third day in a row, as he recorded victories against Bradley Brooks, Steve West, Neil Duff and Niels Van Zanten, with his only defeat coming against Darius Labanauskas, to end on 24 points from a possible 30.

Elsewhere, Darius Labanauskas and Steve West will compete in Group B, after the pair finished 2^nd and 3^rd respectively overall, with Labanauskas ending on 24 points and missing out on top spot due to leg difference, whilst West ended on 14 points. The duo will be joined on Thursday and Friday Evening by Ciaran Teehan, Richard Rowlands and Gemma Hayter.

Bradley Brooks, Neil Duff and Niels Van Zanten will all compete in Group C, after finishing 4^th, 5^th and 6^th respectively overall, with Brooks ending on 14 points and missing out on a spot in Group B due to leg difference, whilst Duff ended on 10 points and Van Zanten on 4 points. The trio will be joined on Thursday and Friday Afternoon by Alec Small, Scott Marsh and Charlie Martin.

The Modus Super Series continues on Thursday with Group C commencing from 1pm BST and Group B commencing from 10pm BST. Play will be streamed live on the Modus YouTube channel or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
