Ashley Coleman, Jamie Owens, Tom Sykes, Viktor Tingstrom and Daniel Larsson all secured their places in Saturday’s finale on Friday after coming through their respective groups at the Modus Super Series, to join Colin Osborne, the winner of Group A earlier in the week.
Coleman, who entered Friday’s play on 8 points from the opening day of Group C, topped the group overall despite only winning two of his five matches, as he recorded victories against Timothy Verbrugghe and Charlie Large, with his three defeats coming against Bradley Coltman, Callum Francis and Jamie Owens, to end on 12 points from a possible 20 overall.
Elsewhere, Jamie Owens also progressed through to Saturday’s finale, after finishing 2nd overall on 12 points, edging past Charlie Large, who also ended on 12 points, but missed out in 3rd due to leg difference, whilst Bradley Coltman finished 4th on 10 points, Timothy Verbrugghe in 5th on 8 points and Callum Francis bottom on 6 points.
In Group B, Tom Sykes topped the group overall after completing a clean sweep with four wins from four, as he recorded victories against Viktor Tingstrom, Daniel Larsson, Joe Murnan and Rob Collins, to end on 14 points from a possible 16 overall.
Elsewhere, Viktor Tingstrom and Daniel Larsson also progressed through to Saturday’s finale, after the pair finished 2nd and 3rd respectively overall, with Tingstrom ending on 12 points and Larsson on 8 points, whilst Joe Murnan finished 4th on 4 points and Rob Collins bottom on 2 points.
The Modus Super Series continues on Saturday with the conclusion of Week Six with the six players battling it out for just one spot up for grabs at Champions Week, with play commencing from 7:30pm BST. Play will be streamed live on the Modus YouTube channel or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
