Tom Sykes was victorious on Saturday as he was crowned the winner of Week Six at the Modus Super Series, after defeating Daniel Larsson in the final to secure a place in Champions Week and winning the weekly £5,000 top prize.
Sykes, who entered the finale having won Group B on Thursday and Friday, began the night by winning just one of his two group phase matches, as he firstly suffered a defeat to Daniel Larsson, before defeating Ashley Coleman to progress through to the Semi Finals.
At that stage, Sykes came up against Colin Osborne and in a battle between the English duo, it was Sykes who came out on top, as he defeated ‘The Wizard’ 4-1 to book his place in the final.
In the decider, Sykes came up against Daniel Larsson for the second time on the night, who’d defeated Jamie Owens in the last four, and this time Sykes got his revenge against his Swedish opponent, as he dispatched of Larsson, 4-1, to seal his place in Champions Week once again as well as collecting the first prize.
The Modus Super Series returns on Monday with the start of Week Seven, with the first of three days of Group A commencing, with the field including Scottish duo Robert Thornton and John Henderson.
