Alex Spellman took the early lead on Monday, in ending Day One of Group A, top, after winning three of his five matches, as the Ninth Week of Series Nine commenced at the Modus Super Series.
Spellman, who last competed at the Super Series back in January, made his return by taking the early lead in Group A, after winning three matches from five.
The American recorded victories over Brian Raman, Romeo Grbavac and David Evans, with his two defeats coming against Andy Boulton and Dean Finn, to sit on 6 points from a possible 10 thus far.
Elsewhere, three players in Dean Finn, Andy Boulton and Brian Raman also ended the day on 6 points each, but sit 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively behind Spellman due to leg difference, whilst Romeo Grbavac sits in 5th on 4 points and David Evans bottom on 2 points.
The Modus Super Series continues on Tuesday with the six players returning, hoping to boost their chances of securing a place in Saturday’s Finale, with Spellman leading the way thus far.
Play will begin at 9:30am GMT and will be streamed live on the Modus YouTube channel or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
