Jim Long and Sam Spivey took the early lead on Thursday in ending Day One of their respective groups, top, as they look to join Andy Davidson in Saturday’s finale at the Modus Super Series.
In Group B, Jim Long took the early lead after completing a clean sweep with four wins from four, as he recorded victories against James Wilson, Derek Coulson, Mareno Michels and Chas Barstow, to sit on a maximum 8 points from 8 thus far.
Elsewhere, Mareno Michels and Derek Coulson ended the night 2nd and 3rd respectively on 4 points each, whilst James Wilson and Chas Barstow sit joint bottom on 2 points each.
In Group A, Spivey, who was making his debut at the Super Series, made a perfect start by taking the early lead in Group C, after completing a clean sweep with five wins from five, as he recorded victories against Johnny Haines, Cedric Waegemans, Darren Johnson, Tavis Dudeney and Conor Heneghan, to sit on a maximum 10 points from 10 thus far.
Elsewhere, Johnny Haines ended the day in 2nd on 6 points, whilst three players in Heneghan, Waegemans and Johnson sit 3rd, 4th and 5th respectively on 4 points each, with Tavis Dudeney sitting bottom on 2 points.
The Modus Super Series continues on Friday with players continuing to battle out as they aim to join Andy Davidson in Saturday’s finale, with Spivey and Long taking the early lead thus far. Group C will commence from 1pm GMT and Group B will commence from 10pm GMT. Play will be streamed live on the Modus YouTube channel or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
