Graham Hall took the early lead on Monday, in ending Day One of Group A, top, after winning four of his five matches, with Week Two of Series Ten commencing at the Modus Super Series.
Hall, who recently lost his professional status on the PDC tour, made his long-awaited return to the Super Series by taking the early lead in Group A, after winning four matches from five and recording victories against Simon Whitlock, Andy Hamilton, Steve Robertson and Tommy Morris, with his only defeat coming against Andreas Nikolaou, to sit on 8 points from a possible 10 thus far.
Elsewhere, Tommy Morris and Simon Whitlock ended the day 2nd and 3rd respectively on 6 points each, whilst Andy Hamilton and Andreas Nikolaou sit 4th and 5th on 4 point each, with Steve Robertson sitting bottom on 2 points.
Whitlock endured a mixed start to his post PDC career. After losing out in a 7 leg battle with Hall in match 1 The Wizard won his next two match ups before being defeated by Tommy Morris. The Aussie then extended his winning record over former PDC rival Andy Hamilton (4-2) to finish his day on a high note.
The Modus Super Series continues on Tuesday with the six players returning, hoping to boost their chances of securing a place in Saturday’s Finale, with Hall leading the way thus far. Play will begin at 9:30am GMT and will be streamed live on the Modus YouTube channel, Pluto TV or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
