ANDY Hamilton and Jenson Walker took the early lead on Thursday in ending Day One of their respective groups, top, as they look to join Simon Whitlock in Saturday’s finale at the Modus Super Series.
In Group B, Andy Hamilton took the early lead after winning three of his four matches on Thursday Evening, as he recorded victories against Jamie Hughes, Martin Adams and Ashley Coleman, with his only defeat coming against Graham Hall, to sit on 6 points from a possible 8 thus far.
Graham Hall also ended the evening on 6 points, but sits in 2nd behind Hamilton due to leg difference, whilst Ashley Coleman and Jamie Hughes sit 3rd and 4th respectively on 4 points each, with Martin Adams sitting bottom on 0 points having suffered four straight defeats.
Walker, who last appeared at the Super Series back in November, made his return by taking the early lead in Group C, after winning four of his five matches, as he recorded victories against Andreas Nikolaou, Steve Robertson, Adam Mould and James Hubbard, with his only defeat coming against Tommy Morris, to sit on 8 points from a possible 10 thus far.
Elsewhere, three players in Adam Mould, James Hubbard and Tommy Morris ended the day 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively on 6 points each, whilst Steve Robertson and Andreas Nikolaou sit 5th and 6th on 2 points each.
The Modus Super Series continues on Friday with players continuing to battle out as they aim to join Simon Whitlock in Saturday’s finale, with Walker and Hamilton taking the early lead thus far.
Group C will commence from 1pm GMT and Group B will commence from 10pm GMT. Play will be streamed live on the Modus YouTube channel, Pluto TV or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
