Sam Spivey and Carl Sneyd took the early lead on Thursday in ending Day One of their respective groups, top, as they look to join Conan Whitehead in Saturday’s finale at the Modus Super Series.
Spivey, who last appeared at the Super Series back in November, made his return by taking the early lead in Group C, after winning four of his five matches, as he recorded victories against Mike Warburton, Niall Culleton, Jamie Kelling and Jeremy Fagg, with his only defeat coming against Alexander Masek, to sit on 8 points from a possible 10 thus far.
Elsewhere, Alexander Masek and Mike Warburton ended the day 2nd and 3rd respectively on 6 points each, whilst Jamie Kelling and Jeremy Fagg sit 4th and 5th on 4 points each, with Niall Culleton sitting bottom on 2 points.
In Group B, Carl Sneyd took the early lead after winning three of his four matches on Thursday Evening, as he recorded victories against Gary Mawson, Charlie Large and Lee Cocks, with his only defeat coming against Ronan McDonagh, to sit on 6 points from a possible 8 thus far.
Elsewhere, Charlie Large and Ronan McDonagh ended the night 2nd and 3rd respectively on 6 points each, as they sit behind Sneyd on leg difference, whilst Lee Cocks sits in 4th on 2 points and Gary Mawson bottom on 0 points, having suffered four straight defeats.
The Modus Super Series continues on Friday with players continuing to battle out as they aim to join Conan Whitehead in Saturday’s finale, with Spivey and Sneyd taking the early lead thus far.
Group C will commence from 1pm GMT and Group B will commence from 10pm GMT. Play will be streamed live on the Modus YouTube channel, Pluto TV or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
