Sam Spivey, Alexander Masek, Charlie Large, Carl Sneyd and Ronan McDonagh all secured their places in Saturday’s finale on Friday.
The five will battle for a Champion Week place after coming through their respective groups at the Modus Super Series, to join Conan Whitehead, the winner of Group A earlier in the week.
Spivey, who entered Friday’s play on 8 points from the opening day of Group C, topped the
group overall, after winning three of his five matches, as he recorded victories against Jamie Kelling, Niall Culleton and Mike Warburton, with his two defeats coming against Jeremy Fagg and Alexander Masek, to end on 14 points from a possible 20 overall.
Elsewhere, Alexander Masek also progressed through to Saturday’s finale, after finishing 2nd overall on 12 points, edging past Mike Warburton, who also ended on 12 points, but missed out in 3rd due to leg difference, whilst Jeremy Fagg finished 4th on 10 points, Jamie Kelling in 5th on 8 points and Niall Culleton bottom on 4 points.
In Group B, Charlie Large topped the group overall, after winning three of his four matches on Friday Evening, as he recorded victories against Gary Mawson, Carl Sneyd and Ronan McDonagh, with his only defeat coming against Lee Cocks, to end on 12 points from a possible 16 overall.
Elsewhere, Carl Sneyd and Ronan McDonagh also progressed through to Saturday’s finale, after the pair finished 2nd and 3rd respectively overall, with Sneyd ending on 12 points and McDonagh on 10 points, whilst Lee Cocks finished 4th on 4 points and Gary Mawson bottom on 2 points.
The Modus Super Series continues on Saturday with the conclusion of Week Three with the six players battling it out for just one spot up for grabs at Champions Week, with play commencing from 7:30pm GMT.
