REECE Robinson was victorious on Saturday as he was crowned the winner of Week Five at the Modus Super Series, after defeating Kurt Parry in the final to secure a place in Champions Week and claim the weekly £5,000 top prize.
Robinson, who entered the finale having finished 2nd in Group B on Thursday and Friday, began the night by winning just one of his two group phase matches, as he firstly suffered a defeat to David Wawrzewski, before defeating Kurt Parry to progress through to the Semi Finals, where he came up against Carl Wilson, and from there, Robinson defeated ‘The Gok’ 4-1 to book his place in the final.
In the decider, Robinson came up against Kurt Parry for the second time on the night, who’d defeated Ted Evetts in the last four, and once again, the 32-year-old got the better of his Welsh opponent, as Robinson sealed a 4-1 victory to book his place in Champions Week once again, as well as collecting the weeks first prize.
The Modus Super Series returns on Monday with the start of Week Six, with the first of three days of Group A commencing, with the field including Leonard Gates, Noa-Lynn Van Leuven and Colin Osborne.
Play will commence from 9:30am GMT and will be streamed live on the Modus YouTube channel, Pluto TV or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
