Wachiuri Heads Friday's Five | Darts World Magazine

Peter Wachiuri, Kevin Burness, Scott Campbell, Leonard Gates and Jamie Lewis all secured their places in Saturday’s finale on Friday after coming through their respective groups at the Modus Super Series, to join Colin Osborne, the winner of Group A earlier in the week.

Wachiuri, who entered Friday’s play on 8 points from the opening day of Group C, topped the group overall, after winning four of his five matches again, as he recorded victories against Noa-Lynn Van Leuven, Donny Scheurwater, Karl Coleman and Kevin Burness, with his only defeat coming against Martin Thomas, to end on 16 points from a possible 20 overall.

Elsewhere, Kevin Burness also progressed through to Saturday’s finale, after finishing 2^nd overall on 14 points, whilst Martin Thomas finished 3^rd on 10 points, Karl Coleman and Noa-Lynn Van Leuven finishing 4^th and 5^th respectively on 8 points each, with Donny Scheurwater finishing bottom on 4 points.

In Group B, Scott Campbell topped the group overall, after winning three of his four matches on Friday Evening, as he recorded victories against Gemma Hayter, Jamie Lewis and Barry Copeland, with his only defeat coming against Leonard Gates, to end on 12 points from a possible 16 overall.

Elsewhere, Leonard Gates and Jamie Lewis also progressed through to Saturday’s finale, after the pair finished 2^nd and 3^rd respectively overall, with Gates ending on 12 points and Lewis on 8 points, whilst Gemma Hayter and Barry Copeland finished 4^th and 5^th respectively on 4 points each.

The Modus Super Series continues on Saturday with the conclusion of Week Six with the six players battling it out for just one spot up for grabs at Champions Week, with play commencing from 7:30pm GMT. Play will be streamed live on the Modus YouTube channel, Pluto TV or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
