Charlie Manby, Aaron Turner, Derek Coulson, Martyn Turner and Conan Whitehead (pictured) all secured their places in Saturday’s finale on Friday after coming through their respective groups at the Modus Super Series, to join Neil Duff, the winner of Group A earlier in the week.
Manby, who entered Friday’s play on 8 points from the opening day of Group C, topped the group overall, after completing a clean sweep with five wins from five, as he recorded victories against Andy McDermott, Lloyd Walker, Aaron Turner, Rick Hessing and Antony Allen, to end on 18 points from a possible 20 overall.
Elsewhere, Aaron Turner also progressed through to Saturday’s finale, after finishing 2nd overall on 14 points, whilst Lloyd Walker and Antony Allen finished 3rd and 4th respectively on 10 points each, with Andy McDermott and Rick Hessing finishing 5th and 6th on 4 points each.
In Group B, Derek Coulson topped the group overall, after completing a clean sweep with four wins from four, as he recorded victories against Kevin Edwards, Martyn Turner, Jon Worsley and Conan Whitehead, to end on 16 points from a possible 16 overall.
Elsewhere, Martyn Turner and Conan Whitehead also progressed through to Saturday’s finale, after the pair finished 2nd and 3rd respectively overall, with Turner ending on 10 points and Whitehead on 8 points, whilst Kevin Edwards finished 4th on 4 points and Jon Worsley bottom on 2 points.
The Modus Super Series continues on Saturday with the conclusion of Week Seven with the six players battling it out for just one spot up for grabs at Champions Week, with play commencing from 7:30pm GMT. Play will be streamed live on the Modus YouTube channel, Pluto TV or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
