Dominik Gruellich was victorious on Sunday, in winning his maiden Winmau Development Tour title, after defeating Leon Weber in the decider, as the second weekend of the PDC’s Youth Tour season concluded in Leicester.
Gruellich, who lost in the decider of Friday’s Event Seven, went a step further 48 hours later as he reached the final firstly by recording victories against Harry Gregory, Davie Duval, Fabian Tapner, Viktor Tingstrom, Ronan McDonagh, Dylan Dowling and Ryan Branley, to set up a clash with compatriot, Weber.
The final saw Gruellich dominate the entirety of the tie, as he rattled off five successive legs including a hat-trick of 15 darters and sealed the victory in Leg Five with a 17 darter and a 5-0 success to clinch a maiden PDC title, as well as the £2,500 top prize.
The PDC Winmau Development Tour returns between 9-11th May with Events 11-15 taking place at Halle 39, Hildesheim. All live scores and results will be viewed via tv.dartconnect.com.
