Gray Takes MMS Lead

Adrian Gray and Jason Heaver took the early lead on Thursday in ending Day One of their respective groups, top, as they look to join David Evans in Saturday’s finale at the Modus Super Series. 

In Group B, Adrian Gray, a former PDC star, took the early lead after winning three of his four matches on Thursday evening, as he recorded victories against Steve Beaton, Joe Murnan and David Pallett, with his only defeat coming against Conor Heneghan, to sit on 6 points from a possible 8 thus far.  

Elsewhere, Conor Heneghan also ended the night on 6 points, but sits in 2^nd behind Gray on leg difference, whilst Steve Beaton sits in 3^rd on 4 points, with Joe Murnan and David Pallett sitting 4^th and 5^th respectively on 2 points each.  

Heaver, who entered Group C having finished 4^th in Group A earlier in the week, took the early lead after completing a clean sweep with five wins from five, as he recorded victories against Paul Dulson, Tom Lonsdale, Lukasz Waclawski, Dan Astbury and Richie Burnett, to sit on a maximum 10 points from a possible 10 thus far.  

Elsewhere, Tom Lonsdale ended the day in 2^nd on 6 points, whilst three players in Dan Astbury, Lukasz Waclawski and Richie Burnett sit 3^rd, 4^th and 5^th respectively on 4 points each, with Paul Dulson sitting bottom on 2 points. 

The Modus Super Series continues on Friday with players continuing to battle out as they aim to join Andy Davidson in Saturday’s finale, with Heaver and Gray taking the early lead thus far. Group C will commence from 1pm BST and Group B will commence from 10pm BST. Play will be streamed live on the Modus YouTube channel, Pluto TV or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
