MODUS Super Series and Pluto TV are bringing back the return of the Red Dragon MODUS Super Series Influencer Darts Showdown, streaming live and exclusively on Pluto TV from 12pm on Sunday 11 May.
Now in its fourth edition, the Influencer Darts Showdown has evolved to feature an all-new elongated pairs format to coincide with International Pairs Week at the MODUS Live Lounge.
The event will showcase eight influencer-pro pairs, each competing in a league stage before the top four teams progress to the semi-finals and final as well as raising awareness and funds for charitable causes.
Each pair will play a minimum of two matches, ensuring plenty of action and variety across the five-hour live event.
This edition will see recognizable names from the world of darts join forces with popular online personalities.
Influencers include:
- JaackMaate and Stevie White
- Bullhitters
- Jack Langston (The Darts Referee)
- Marcel Althaus (Marcel Scorpion)
- Ellis Platten and Ben Gibbs
- Charlie Murphy
Each will be paired with a professional player from an international lineup including:
- John Henderson (Scotland)
- Robert Thornton (Scotland)
- Peter Wachiuri (Kenya)
- Mervyn King (England)
- Jimmy van Schie (Netherlands)
- Richie Burnett (Wales)
- David Williams (England)
- Danny van Trijp (Netherlands)
- 12 year old wonderkid Jayden Walker (England)
The walk-on tradition – a fan-favourite element of darts entertainment – will be preserved for each pair’s first match, as well as all semi-final and final fixtures.
The event also supports the Jack Dowding Foundation, raising awareness and funds for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund. Viewers are encouraged to donate via the QR codes displayed on screen, with additional support suggested through the “180 Challenge” — a running initiative that encourages donations each time an influencer scores the maximum 180.
