Mervyn King moved to the top of the table on Tuesday, after winning four of his five matches on Day Two and looks to secure his place in Saturday’s finale, going into the final day of Group A on Wednesday.
King, who entered Tuesday’s play on 4 points from the opening day of Group A, topped the group overall after winning four matches from five, as he recorded victories against Tommy Morris, David Evans, Adrian Gray and Jeff Smith, with his only defeat coming against Dustin Straver, to sit on 12 points from a possible 20 thus far.
Elsewhere, Jeff Smith is the closest competitor to King, with The Canadian sitting in 2nd overall on 10 points, whilst three players in Tommy Morris, David Evans and Adrian Gray sit 3rd, 4th and 5th respectively on 10 points each and behind Smith due to leg difference, with Dustin Straver sitting bottom on 8 points.
The MODUS Super Series continues on Wednesday with the six players returning on the final day of Group A, hoping to boost their chances of securing a place in Saturday’s Finale, with King leading the way thus far.
Players who finish in places 2-6 will be split into two groups in Thursday and Friday’s play with Afternoon and Evening sessions taking place on both days, as well as new players entering the fray.
Play will begin at 9:30am BST on Wednesday and will be streamed live on The MODUS YouTube channel, Pluto TV or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
