Steven Johnstone secured his place in Saturday’s finale on Wednesday, after winning four of his five matches to end his Group A campaign, top, as the field was confirmed for Groups B and C at the Modus Super Series.
Johnstone, who entered Wednesday’s play on 16 points from the opening two days of Group A, topped the group overall after winning four matches from five, as he recorded victories against Jack Tweddell, Colin Osborne, Bradly Roes and Kent Sivertsen, with his only defeat coming against Jamie Hughes, to end on 24 points from a possible 30 overall.
Elsewhere, Jamie Hughes and Colin Osborne will both compete in Group B, after the pair finished 2nd and 3rd respectively overall, with Hughes ending on 22 points and Osborne on 14 points. The duo will be joined on Thursday and Friday Evening by Scott Taylor, Mike Warburton and Lewis Gurney.
Bradly Roes, Jack Tweddell and Kent Sivertsen will all compete in Group C, after finishing 4th, 5th and 6th respectively overall, with Roes ending on 14 points, Tweddell on 12 points and Sivertsen on 4 points. The trio will be joined on Thursday and Friday Afternoon by Wes Newton, Tom Cromwell and Lloyd Walker.
The Modus Super Series continues on Thursday with Group C commencing from 1pm BST and Group B commencing from 10pm BST. Play will be streamed live on the Modus YouTube channel, Pluto TV or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
