McGuirk Mops Up MSS Weekly Win

Play the Pro Darts Scorer

Shane McGuirk was victorious on Saturday as he was crowned the winner of Week Four at the MODUS Super Series, after defeating Kurt Parry in the final to secure a place in Champions Week and pick up the weekly cash prize.

McGuirk, who entered the finale having won Group B on Thursday and Friday, began the night by winning just one of his two group phase matches, as he firstly lost his opener to Scott Campbell before defeating David Sharp to progress through to the Semi Finals. At that stage, McGuirk came up against Jamai Van den Herik for the second time on the night and the Irishman whitewashed his Dutch opponent, 4-0, to book his place in the final.

In the decider, McGuirk came up against Kurt Parry, who’d defeated Scott Campbell in the last four, and from there, the reigning WDF World Champion defeated his Welsh opponent, 4-1, to book his place in Champions Week once again as well as collecting the weekly first prize.

The MODUS Super Series returns on Monday with the start of Week Five, with the first of three days of Group A commencing, with the field including Former PDC World Championship Finalist Andy Hamilton.

Play will commence from 9:30am BST and will be streamed live on the MODUS YouTube channel, Pluto TV or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
