The Professional Darts Corporation is delighted to confirm a three-year extension with Butlin’s, which will see the UK Open and Players Championship Finals remain at Butlin’s Minehead Resort until at least the end of 2026.
The partnership extension will see the Somerset venue rack up 13 years as a home to PDC events, having first played host to the Players Championship Finals in 2013 before the UK Open followed suit in 2014.
The Minehead resort has proved hugely popular among fans, with weekend break packages providing accommodation and access to six sessions of top-class darts action.
A sell-out 2023 Cazoo Players Championship Finals will mark the PDC’s return to Butlin’s, with 64 of the world’s top stars in action from November 24-26, while the 2024 Cazoo UK Open is also sold-out.
PDC Chief Executive Matthew Porter said: “We are delighted to continue our partnership with Butlin’s.
“The Minehead venue has become the home of the UK Open and Players Championship Finals, two of our most high-profile televised events featuring unique multi-board settings.
“Both tournaments have gone from strength-to-strength since moving to Minehead, with fans and players alike looking forward to our return in November.”
Jon Hendry Pickup, CEO at Butlin’s said:
“The PDC darts events are very popular with our guests and always create an electric atmosphere on resort.
“It’s fantastic news that we’re able to extend our partnership with the PDC and continue hosting the UK Open and Players Championship Finals at our Minehead resort over the next three years.”
