Scott Mitchell took the early lead on Monday, in ending Day One of Group A, top, after completing a clean sweep with five wins from five, as the Ninth Week of Series Seven commenced at the Modus Super Series.
Mitchell, who last appeared at the Super Series back in December, made the perfect return by taking the early lead in Group A, with ‘Scottie Dog’ winning all five of his matches.
The former Lakeside Champion recorded victories against Doug Boehm, Kevin Painter, Sebastian Bialecki, Ray Mulvey and Marvin Van Velzen, to sit on a maximum 10 points from 10 thus far.
Elsewhere, Sebastian Bialecki ended the day in 2nd on 8 points with his only defeat being to Mitchell. Doug Boehm is 3rd on 6 points, Kevin Painter in 4th on 4 points, Marvin Van Velzen in 5th on 2 points and Ray Mulvey bottom on 0 points, having suffered five straight defeats on his Super Series debut.
The Modus Super Series continues on Tuesday with the six players returning, hoping to boost their chances of securing a place in Saturday’s Finale, with Mitchell leading the way thus far.
Play will begin at 9:30am BST and will be streamed live on the Modus YouTube channel, Sporty Stuff TV or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
