Beau Greaves was victorious on Saturday as she was crowned the winner of Week Nine at the Modus Super Series, after defeating in the final to secure a place in Champions Week and winning the weekly £5,000 top prize.
Greaves, who entered the finale having won Group B on Thursday and Friday, began the night by winning both of her group phase matches, as she defeated Sebastian Bialecki and Marvin Van Velzen to progress through to the Semi Finals.
The Doncaster thrower then came up against Adam Lipscombe, and from there, ‘Beau ‘n’ Arrow’ breezed through (4-1) to book her place in the final.
In the decider, Greaves came up against Polish prodigy Sebastian Bialecki for the second time on the night. The youngster had defeated form man, and comfortable Group A winner, Scott Mitchell in the last four.
Once again, the 2x Women’s World Champion defeated ‘The Bolt’ – for the forth time in the week – 4-2 to create history by becoming the first female player to reach a Champions Week at the Super Series, as well as pocketing the £5,000 first prize.
The Modus Super Series returns on Monday with the start of Week 10, with the first of three days of Group A commencing, with the field including Fallon Sherrock, Andy Hamilton and Ted Evetts.
Play will commence from 9:30am BST and will be streamed live on the Modus YouTube channel, Sporty Stuff TV or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
