I talk of the good game quite a lot. I can throw a good game every now and then too.
Whilst away with my day job and with an evening to myself, it was time this Darts World Weekly Podcast host tossed a little tungsten. So I popped along to an ADC affiliated Vault Event at the County Conservative Club in Cardiff.
A great turn out for the newest addition to the ever growing popular ADC Vault series, where I was made very welcome by the players and conversation and banter was good.
The set ups are very decent indeed, with 4 match boards to play on and 2 practice boards to boot.
In the group stage some steady darts were thrown. Coming 2nd in my group by loosing 1 game to David Skinner. Who averaged 110 in one of his group games!
Going into the quarter finals I played Owen Davidson, I was in good form by now and my finishing was clinical. This continued in the semi-final against Gavin Mercer.
The final against the Cookie Monster John Cook was a good contest. Where I was able add my good finishing to more consistent scoring.
I was surprised with my win as the picture shows. Overall it was nice to play darts how I use to, and once again thanks to all who made it a great night at the County Conservative Club in Cardiff.
