Jim Long took the early lead on Monday, ending Day One Top of Group A, after winning four of his five matches, with Week Two of Series Eight commencing at the MODUS Super Series.
Long, who last appeared at the Super Series back in October 2023, made his return by taking the early lead in Group A, after winning four of his five matches, as he recorded victories against Adam Mould, Arne Spee, Mareno Michels and Ciaran Teehan, with his only defeat coming against Jeff Smith, to sit on 8 points from a possible 10 thus far.
Jeff Smith also ended the day on 8 points, but sits in 2nd behind Long on legs difference, whilst Ciaran Teehan and Adam Mould sit 3rd and 4th respectively on 6 points each, with Mareno Michels sitting 5th on 2 points and Arne Spee bottom on 0 points, having suffered five straight defeats on debut.
The MODUS Super Series continues on Tuesday with the six players returning, hoping to boost their chances of securing a place in Saturday’s Finale, with Long leading the way thus far. Play will begin at 9:30am BST and will be streamed live on the MODUS YouTube channel or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
