SEBASTIAN Bialecki picked up a fifth Development Tour title of his career on Sunday, after defeating Levy Frauenfelder in the final of Event Fifteen, as the third weekend of the PDC’s Youth Tour season came to a close in Wigan.
Bialecki, who was a runner up at Event Three back in February, went a step further in Sunday’s solitary event, as he reached the final firstly by recording victories against James Buckby, Jonas Stagg, Nathan Care, Leighton Bennett, Bradly Roes, Adam Gawlas, Tavis Dudeney, to set up a clash with the Dutchman, Frauenfelder.
The final began with two straight holds of throw between the pair, before Bialecki stormed in front by rattling off three successive legs in 15,20 and 13 darts respectively to move 4-1 ahead and within one of victory.
Frauenfelder almost produced a remarkable comeback, as he won three consecutive legs to force a deciding leg, however, the advantage of throwing first proved to be vital, as Bialecki sealed the victory with a 14 darter to pick up the £2,500 top prize.
The PDC Winmau Development Tour returns between 26-28th July with Events 16-20 taking place at the Marshall Arena, Milton Keynes. All live scores and results will be viewed via tv.dartconnect.com.
