Richard Rowlands was victorious on Saturday as he was crowned the winner of Week Three at the Modus Super Series, after defeating Andreas Harrysson in the final to secure a place in Champions Week and winning the weekly £5,000 top prize.
Rowlands, who entered the finale having finished 2nd in Group C on Thursday and Friday, began the night by winning just one of his two group phase matches, as he firstly suffered a loss to Andreas Harrysson, before defeating John O’Shea to progress through to the Semi Finals.
The final four saw the Welshman come up against Ross Montgomery, and from there, Rowlands defeated The Scot, 4-2, to book his place in the final.
In the week three finale, Rowlands came up against Andreas Harrysson for the second time on the night, who’d defeated Reece Robinson in the last four, and this time, Rowlands got his revenge and defeated the defending Super Series Champion, 4-2, to seal his place in Champions Week for the first time as well as picking up the £5,000 first prize.
