McEwan and Taylor Take Early MSS Advantage

2 Former Champions Week winners in Jim McEwan and Scott Taylor took the early lead in Group A, as Week 5 of Series 8 commenced at the MODUS Super Series. 

Scottish international McEwan leads on legs difference from Taylor, with Chucky defeating Belgian international Brian Raman 4-3 with a 95.45 average in his best performance of the day. 

Jim’s only defeat on Day 1 came against former WDF World Champion Neil Duff, who picked up a 4-2 victory including a 112 finish to break throw in the 3rd leg. 

Scott Taylor started the opening session with a 4-0 defeat against McEwan, but responded well after that with 4 straight victories, hitting a 101.15 average in a 4-2 win over Timothy Verbrugghe. 

Timothy is the nearest challenger to the top 2 with 6 points in 3rd place, with Neil Duff in 4th place on 4 points, whilst ADC Qualifier Paul Lewis and Belgium’s Brian Raman picked up a win a piece after the opening day of action. 

Day 2 in Week 5 of Series 8 in the MODUS Super Series starts on Tuesday morning from the Live Lounge, as the race to qualify for Finals Night continues.
