Wayne Jones took the early lead on Monday, in ending Day One of Group A, top, after completing a clean sweep with five wins from five, with Week 11 of Series Eight commencing at the Modus Super Series.
Jones, a former European Championship finalist and PDC top 16 player, last appeared at the Super Series back in February. The Wolverhampton thrower made a perfect return by winning all five of his matches.
The Wanderer recorded victories against Richie Howson, Krzysztof Kciuk, Barry Copeland, Johaan Brouwer and Steve West, to end the day on a maximum 10 points from a possible 10.

Elsewhere, Krzysztof Kciuk and Barry Copeland on debut ended the day 2nd and 3rd respectively on 6 points each, whilst Richie Howson sits in 4th on 4 points, with Steve West and Johaan Brouwer sitting 5th and 6th on 2 points each.
The Modus Super Series continues on Tuesday with the six players returning, hoping to boost their chances of securing a place in Saturday’s Finale, with Jones leading the way thus far.
