Jamie Owens took the early lead on Monday, in ending Day One of Group A, top, after winning four of his five matches, with Week 12 of Series Eight commencing at the Modus Super Series.
Owens, who was making his debut at the Super Series, won four matches from five to take the early lead, as he recorded victories against Simon Teysen, Darryl Pilgrim, Kendrick Koordom and Jarno Bottenberg, with his only defeat coming against Boris Koltsov, to sit on 8 points from a possible 10 thus far.
Elsewhere, three players in Darryl Pilgrim, Boris Koltsov and Jarno Bottenberg ended the day 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively on 6 points each, whilst Simon Teysen and Kendrick Koordom sit 5th and 6th on 2 points each.
The Modus Super Series continues on Tuesday with the six players returning, hoping to boost their chances of securing a place in Saturday’s Finale, with Owens leading the way thus far.
