Dean Finn, Brian Raman, Romeo Grbavac, Andy Boulton and Martyn Turner all secured their places into Saturday’s finale on Friday after coming through their respective groups at the Modus Super Series, to join Alex Spellman, the winner of Group A earlier in the week.
Finn, who entered Friday’s play on 6 points from the opening day of Group C, topped the group overall, after completing a clean sweep with five wins from five, as he recorded victories against Brian Raman, Jenson Walker, David Evans, Lloyd Walker and James Welding, to end on 16 points from a possible 20 overall.
Elsewhere, Brian Raman also progressed through to Saturday’s finale, after finishing 2nd overall on 14 points, whilst Jenson Walker finished 3rd on 12 points, David Evans and James Welding in 4th and 5th respectively on 6 points each, with Lloyd Walker finishing bottom on 4 points, having stepped in for the absent Richard North.
In Group B, Romeo Grbavac topped the group overall, after completing a clean sweep with four wins from four on Friday Evening, as he recorded victories against Thomas Banks, Andy Boulton, Peter Jacques and Martyn Turner, to end on 10 points from a possible 16 overall.
Elsewhere, Andy Boulton and Martyn Turner also progressed through to Saturday’s finale, after the pair finished 2nd and 3rd respectively overall on 10 points each, finishing behind Grbavac on leg difference, whilst Peter Jacques finished 4th on 6 points and Thomas Banks bottom on 4 points.
The Modus Super Series continues on Saturday with the conclusion of Week Nine with the six players battling it out for just one spot up for grabs at Champions Week, with play commencing from 7:30pm GMT. Play will be streamed live on the Modus YouTube channel or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
