Bradly Roes picked up his first Winmau Development Tour title on Sunday, after defeating Oliver Pearce-Burgess in the final of Event Five, as the opening weekend of the PDC’s Youth Tour season came to a close at the Marshall Arena, Milton Keynes.
Roes’ run to the final firstly saw him record victories against Bailey Martin, Mitchell Leeming, Jannes Bremermann, Moreno Blom, Leon Weber, Danny Jansen and Charlie Manby, to set up a clash with Pearce-Burgess.
The final began with three straight breaks of throw between the pair, before Roes ended the run by holding throw for the first time in Leg Four with a 16 darter to move 3-1 ahead in a race to five.
Pearce-Burgess halved the deficit in Leg Five with a 24 darter, before Roes sealed the victory by winning back-to-back legs in 18 and 21 darts respectively to pick up a maiden PDC title as well as the £2,500 top prize.
The PDC Winmau Development Tour returns between 28-30th March with Events Six-Ten taking place at the Mattioli Arena, Leicester. All live scores and results will be viewed via tv.dartconnect.com.
