Scott Campbell was victorious on Saturday as he was crowned the winner of Week Six at the Modus Super Series, after defeating Peter Wachiuri in the final to secure a place in Champions Week and winning the weekly top cheque.
Campbell, who entered the finale having won Group B on Thursday and Friday, began the night by winning just one of his two group phase matches, as he defeated Jamie Lewis, before suffering a defeat to Peter Wachiuri.
However, the Scotsman did progress through to the Semi Finals, where he came up against Kevin Burness, and from there, Campbell whitewashed the former PDC Tour Card Holder, 4-0, to book his place in the final.
In the decider, Campbell came up against Peter Wachiuri for the second time on the night, who’d defeated Colin Osborne in the last four, and this time, Campbell got his revenge against the Kenyan star, as he defeated Wachiuri 4-1 to seal his place in Champions Week, as well as collecting the first prize.
The Modus Super Series returns on Monday with the third edition of Double Trouble Week, with the first of three days of Group A commencing, with the field including Steve Beaton, Simon Whitlock and Robert Thornton.
Play will commence from 9:30am GMT and will be streamed live on the Modus YouTube channel, Pluto TV or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
