Neil Duff and Andreas Harrysson took the early lead on Thursday in ending Day One of their respective groups, top, as they look to join Leonard Gates in Saturday’s Double Trouble finale at the Modus Super Series.
Duff, Double Trouble 2 Champion, who entered Group C having finished bottom of Group A earlier in the week, took the early lead after completing a clean sweep with five wins from five, as he recorded victories against Keegan Brown, Adrian Gray, Steve Beaton, Simon Whitlock and Mark Dudbridge, to sit on a maximum 10 points from a possible 10 thus far.
Elsewhere, Steve Beaton ended the day in 2nd on 8 points, whilst Adrian Gray and Simon Whitlock sit 3rd and 4th respectively on 4 points each, with Keegan Brown and Mark Dudbridge sitting 5th and 6th on 2 points each.
In Group B, Andreas Harrysson, a former Super Series Champion, took the early lead, despite only winning two of his four matches, as he recorded victories against Ted Evetts and Steve West, with his two defeats coming against Ross Montgomery and Robert Thornton, to sit on 4 points from a possible 8 thus far.
Elsewhere, remarkably the remaining four players also ended the night on 4 points each, with Ted Evetts sitting 2nd behind Harrysson due to legs won across the evening, with Steve West, Ross Montgomery and Robert Thornton sitting 3rd, 4th and 5th respectively on leg difference.
The Modus Super Series continues on Friday with players continuing to battle out as they aim to join Leonard Gates in Saturday’s Double Trouble finale, with Duff and Harrysson taking the early lead thus far. Group C will commence from 1pm GMT and Group B will commence from 10pm GMT. Play will be streamed live on the Modus YouTube channel or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
