Danny Van Trijp and Stefan Bellmont were victorious on Saturday, in winning Winmau Challenge Tour Events 13 & 14 respectively, as the third weekend of the PDC’s second tier tour season continued in Milton Keynes.
Former Tour Card Holder, Van Trijp, claimed Event 13 of the 2025 season having reached the final firstly by recording victories against Ultan McDyer, Scott Campbell, John Henderson, Daniel Perry, Oliver Mueller, Shaun Carroll and Ted Evetts, to set up a clash with Graham Hall.
The final began with Hall racing into a 2-0 lead, with winning legs coming in 15 and 17 darts respectively, before Van Trijp went on to dominate the remainder of the tie by rattling off five successive legs in 21,16,17,16 and 15 darts respectively to pick up a third career Challenge Tour title as well as the £2,500 top prize.
In Event 14, Stefan Bellmont was victorious, as he reached the final firstly by recording victories against Ricky Palmer, Andy Hamilton, Michael Huntley, Martin Thomas, Jimmy Van Schie, Charlie Martin and Jack Tweddell, to set up a clash with Keegan Brown.
Nothing separated the pair in the opening stages of the final, with five straight holds of throw, ending with Bellmont breaking Brown’s throw in Leg Six with an 18 darter to move 4-2 ahead and within one of victory. Brown did pull one leg back, before Bellmont sealed the victory in Leg Eight with a 14 darter to clinch a second Challenge Tour title of the year and a fourth of his PDC career.
