Bullet Bunting’s Bullseye Maths

Play the Pro Darts Scorer

Local darts star Stephen Bunting prepared for his BetMGM Premier League appearance in Liverpool by starring in a special Bullseye Maths sessions with pupils from two primary schools.

Bunting will be the home hero at the M&S Bank Arena on Thursday night when the Premier League’s annual visit to Liverpool welcomes a capacity crowd.

While Bunting will be aiming to shine on his home stage, the Merseyside star also delighted local schoolchildren during a sessions of the PDC’s award-nominated numeracy programme which was held at Anfield and organised in conjunction with the LFC Foundation.

Pupils from St Anthony of Padua and Roscoe Primary schools took part in the special session, which combined maths-based activities with darts to promote numeracy.

Bullseye Maths, in association with Vanquis, was launched in 2022 and also features an online portal at www.pdc.tv/maths which includes the interactive Mathlete game and downloadable worksheets alongside videos from top darts stars.

“It’s brilliant,” said Bunting. “The guys from Bullseye Maths do a fantastic job. The kids are throwing darts and learning maths as they go, and it’s such a great session for the kids to get involved in.”

Wednesday’s session also launched Vanquis’ partnership with Bullseye Maths, which will see further sessions take place this year alongside support for May’s National Numeracy Day.

“We’re super excited that Vanquis are now involved with us as well – the future is really bright,” said Bullseye Maths co-ordinator Gary Horsley.

“On Wednesday we were really lucky to have Stephen Bunting with us. The sessions allow us to introduce lots of young children to the sport as well as introducing the mathematical concepts to teachers.”
