The Arrow Shows The Way

Shane McGuirk and David Sharp took the early lead on Thursday in ending Day One of their respective groups, top, as they look to join Jamai Van den Herik in Saturday’s finale at the MODUS Super Series.

In Group B, Shane McGuirk topped the group overall after winning three of his four matches on Thursday Evening, as he recorded victories against Sam Spivey, Scott Campbell and Lee Cocks, with his only defeat coming against Carl Wilson, to sit on 6 points from a possible 8 thus far.

Elsewhere, three players in Carl Wilson, Lee Cocks and Scott Campbell ended the night 2^nd, 3^rd and 4^th respectively overall on 4 points each, whilst Sam Spivey sits bottom on 2 points.

Sharp, who was making his debut at the Super Series, made a perfect start by taking the early lead in Group C after completing a clean sweep with five wins from five, as he recorded victories against Kurt Parry, Martyn Turner, Joe Bridle, Mark McGeeney and Kevin Lankhuizen, to sit on a maximum 10 points from a possible 10 thus far.

Elsewhere, Martyn Turner ended the day in 2^nd on 8 points, whilst Kurt Parry sits in 3^rd on 6 points, Mark McGeeney in 4^th on 4 points, Joe Bridle in 5^th on 2 points and Kevin Lankhuizen bottom on 0 points, having suffered five straight defeats.

The MODUS Super Series continues on Friday with players continuing to battle out as they aim to join Jamai Van den Herik in Saturday’s finale, with Sharp and McGuirk taking the early lead thus far.

Group C will commence from 1pm BST and Group B will commence from 10pm BST. Play will be streamed live on the Modus YouTube channel, Pluto TV or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
