Darts World 589: Out Now!

Play the Pro Darts Scorer

The latest print issue of Darts World Magazine is out now and on route to our distributors in time for the early days of summer 2025.

This issue aims to catch us up from a slow start to the season from a publications footing. This issue and it’s companion Darts World Extra (21) are hybrids between season reviews, regular features and new exclusive content.

An exclusive interview with Luke Humphries stands out as he explains his journey from over anxiety to darting domination.

Inside there are PDC, PDC Tier, ADC, UKDA, and more reviews as well as previews of The PDC World Cup of Darts.

There is also a fantastic 8 page supplement celebrating the remarkable Year of The Nuke! A look at ‘the Littler effect’ and a sensational 12 months from any point you care to start it!

As always there are reviews of the latest products, this time from the recent Red Dragon Launch, and tip on how to progress you game .

The traditional opening piece is known as ‘On The Oche‘ and is replicated below, get your copy, or a fabulous value subscription, here:

On The OCHE

Darts World Magazine 589 (Spring /Summer 2025)

TWO Lukes seem to have decided to play a game of turn and turnabout with our game’s most valuable trophies.

Luke The Nuke Littler’s capturing of the World title was a not of this earth type of sporting moment that could be as important to elite darts as Bjorn Borg or even Boris Becker in tennis and Ballesteros in Golf. Backing it up with the UK Open title in March reassured us it had not unsettled the young man.

But, Luke Humphries is also in the midst of a spell of darting domination, rivalled only by those resident on darts’ Mount Rushmore, that would be the talk of any other era. His avenging of the 2014 Premier League final defeat less than fortnight ago, to join a small ‘triple crown’ club,  and his retention of the World Number one spot should remind all watchers of just how good Cool Hand is and how well he has handled the maelstrom of the last two years.

Humphries was also first to lift the new (PDC) Winmau World Masters trophy a little earlier in the year as the event morphed into a ranking, globally centered, set-play event resembling the classic event of that name.

We welcome a stellar cast of new columnists, contributors, writers and image makers to

Darts World for  589. It is an unusual catch up mix between the reflection of 2025 so far and some forward looking content. We are also headed toward marking 5 years since our post/mid Covid reset and our Summer edition will mark this in fine style.

Away from the PDC game the amateur game is again kicking on. The ADC and its (WADC) counterpart for women are already well into their season and the race to their respective season ending big payout finals are hotting up. The WDF’s plan to diversify their presence seem to be paying dividends with players from multiple nations dominating the rankings

The Global Championship, which sees the ADC join forces with the MODUS Super Series operation for an end of year bonanza, was really just an intriguing idea last year. But the increased £150,000 prize pot, 56 player field and huge opportunity for all to qualify moves it onto another plane.

Meanwhile don’t miss our regular Digital publication Darts World Extra, our ever growing video content over on our YouTube channel and of course ‘the mothership’ of darts world coverage that is dartsworld.com
