Gawlas Leads Duff on MSS Debut

Adam Gawlas took the early lead on Monday, in ending Day One of Group A, top, after winning four of his five matches, with Week Six of Series 11 commencing at the Modus Super Series. 

Former UK Open Semi Finalist, Gawlas, who was making his debut at the Super Series, won four matches from five to take the early lead in Group A, as he recorded victories against Ivan Springborg Poulsen, Ronan McDonagh, Charlie Manby and Peter Wachiuri, with his only defeat coming against Neil Duff, to sit on 8 points from a possible 10 thus far.  

Elsewhere, Neil Duff also ended the day on 8 points, but sits in 2nd behind Gawlas on leg difference, whilst Peter Wachiuri and Charlie Manby sit 3rd and 4th respectively on 6 points each, with Ronan McDonagh sitting in 5th on 2 points and Ivan Springborg Poulsen sitting bottom on 0 points, having suffered five straight defeats.  

The MODUS Super Series continues on Tuesday with the six players returning, hoping to boost their chances of securing a place in Saturday’s Finale, with Gawlas leading the way thus far.
