Graham Usher was victorious on Saturday as he was crowned the winner of Week Eight at the MODUS Super Series, after defeating Carl Wilkinson in the final to secure a place in Champions Week and winning the weekly top prize.
Usher, who entered the finale having finished 2nd in Group B on Thursday and Friday, began the night by winning both of his group phase matches, as he defeated Carl Wilkinson and Tom Sykes to progress through to the Semi Finals, where he came up against Jason Heaver, and from there, Usher whitewashed his compatriot, 4-0, to book his place in the final.
In the decider, Usher came up against Carl Wilkinson for the second time on the night, who’d defeated Jamie Kelling in the last four, and once again ‘The Gambler’ got the better of his compatriot, as Usher sealed a 4-2 victory to book his place in Champions Week once again as well as collecting the winner’s cheque.
The MODUS Super Series returns on Monday with the start of Week Nine, with the first of three days of Group A commencing, with the field including Series Seven winner Andreas Harrysson.
Play will commence from 9:30am BST and will be streamed live on the MODUS YouTube channel, Pluto TV or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
