Richard McKee, Oliver King, Ryan Branley, Mason Whitlock and Mike Gillet all secured their places in Saturday’s finale on Friday after coming through their respective groups at the MODUS Super Series, to join Boris Krcmar, the winner of Group A earlier in the week.
McKee, who entered Friday’s play on 8 points from the opening day of Group C, topped the group overall after completing a clean sweep with five wins from five, as he recorded victories against Ollie Howard, Oliver King, Dan Astbury, Devon Petersen and Niels Heinsoe, to end on 18 points from a possible 20 overall.
Elsewhere, Oliver King also progressed through to Saturday’s finale, after finishing 2nd overall on 12 points, edging out Devon Petersen, who also ended on 12 points, but missed out in 3rd due to leg difference, whilst Dan Astbury and Ollie Howard finished 4th and 5th respectively on 8 points each, with Niels Heinsoe finishing bottom on 2 points.
In Group B, Ryan Branley topped the group overall after winning three of his four matches on Friday Evening, as he recorded victories against Richie Burnett, Mike Gillet and Steve Hine, with his only defeat coming against Mason Whitlock, to end on 14 points from a possible 16 overall.
Elsewhere, Mason Whitlock and Mike Gillet also progressed through to Saturday’s finale, after the pair finished 2nd and 3rd respectively overall, with Whitlock ending on 10 points and Gillet on 8 points, whilst Richie Burnett and Steve Hine finished 4th and 5th on 4 points each.
The MODUS Super Series continues on Saturday with the conclusion of Week 10 with the six players battling it out for just one spot up for grabs at Champions Week, with play commencing from 7:30pm BST.
