The BetMGM Premier League is packing its suitcase for new territory in 2026, with Belgium set to make its debut on darts’ travelling circus. Antwerp’s AFAS Dome will roll out the oche on Thursday 12th February, a first for the competition and another notch on the ever-growing map of the sport’s biggest roadshow.
The party officially kicks off a week earlier in Newcastle on 5th February, before winding its way through seventeen stops across the UK and mainland Europe. From week one, it’s the usual recipe: huge crowds, plenty of noise, and the game’s brightest names chasing both points and bragging rights.
Matt Porter, the PDC’s Chief Executive, couldn’t hide his enthusiasm about crossing the Belgian border:
“We’re excited to bring the BetMGM Premier League to Belgium for the very first time. It’s our most expansive season yet. Belgium has been a fantastic home for European Tour events, and with stars like Dimitri Van den Bergh and Mike De Decker raising the profile of darts locally, this feels like the perfect time to take the Premier League there. We’re confident it’ll be another sell-out and a brilliant addition to the calendar.”
The 2026 campaign will run every Thursday from February through May, with the likes of current champion Luke Humphries, reigning World Champion Luke Littler, and seven-time winner Michael van Gerwen all in the mix for the £1.25 million prize fund.
After the curtain-raiser in Newcastle and the landmark Antwerp stop, February also squeezes in Glasgow and Belfast. March brings further trips to Cardiff, Nottingham, Dublin and Berlin, ensuring no shortage of air miles or rowdy nights.
April is when the sprint to The O2 really heats up, with league nights in Manchester, Brighton, Rotterdam, Liverpool and Aberdeen. Then it’s into May, where Leeds, Birmingham and Sheffield provide the final hurdles before the season reaches its traditional crescendo at London’s O2 Arena on 28th May.
Ticket sales for this marathon of darts open in October 2025, with full details to be announced through pdc.tv/PLtickets. Expect demand to be fierce – especially for Belgium’s first taste of Premier League action.
