Steve Beaton and Johnny Haines took the early leads on Thursday in ending Day One of their respective groups, top, as they look to join Charlie Manby in Saturday’s finale at the MODUS Super Series.
In Group B, Steve Beaton took the early lead after winning three of his four matches on Thursday Evening, as he recorded victories against Jenson Walker, Mike Warburton and Scott Taylor, with his only defeat coming against Conan Whitehead, to sit on 6 points from a possible 8 thus far.
Elsewhere, three players in Conan Whitehead, Jenson Walker and Scott Taylor ended the night 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively on 4 points each, with Mike Warburton sitting bottom on 2 points.
Haines, who last appeared at the Super Series back in May, made his return by taking the early lead in Group C, after winning four of his five matches, as he recorded victories against Bradley O’Connor, Rene Eidams, Oliver King and Carl Wilson, with his only defeat coming against Janis Pinka, to sit on 8 points from a possible 10 thus far.
Elsewhere, Oliver King also ended the day on 8 points, but sits in 2nd behind Haines on leg difference, whilst Carl Wilson sits in 3rd on 6 points, Rene Eidams in 4th on 4 points, with Bradley O’Connor and Janis Pinka sitting 5th and 6th respectively on 2 points each.
The MODUS Super Series continues on Friday with players continuing to battle out as they aim to join Charlie Manby in Saturday’s finale, with Haines and Beaton taking the early lead thus far. Group C will commence from 1pm BST and Group B will commence from 10pm BST.
