Graham Usher took the early lead on Monday, in ending Day One of Group A, top, after winning four of his five matches, with Week Six of Series 12 commencing at the Modus Super Series.
Usher, who last appeared at the Super Series back in August, made his return by taking the early lead in Group A after winning four of his five Monday matches.
‘The Gambler’ recorded victories against Manpreet Kalsi, Colin Osborne, Gary Hayes and Jack Tweddell, with his only defeat coming against Damian Palaszewski, to sit on 8 points from a possible 10 thus far.
Elsewhere, three players in Colin Osborne (above), Jack Tweddell and Manpreet Kalsi ended the day 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively on 6 points each, whilst Damian Palaszewski and Gary Hayes sit 5th and 6th on 2 points each.
DW ambassador Osbourne was wearing glasses for the first time on the competitive stage and found the lighting a testing experience. All the same the Wizard produced some super big finishes and managed 3 wins from 5 games including edging out Jack Tweddell.
The MODUS Super Series continues on Tuesday with the six players returning, hoping to boost their chances of securing a place in Saturday’s Finale, with Usher leading the way thus far. Play will begin at 9:30am BST and will be streamed live on the MODUS YouTube channel, Pluto TV or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
