Jamie Owens was victorious on Saturday as he crowned the winner of Week Seven at the MODUS Super Series, after defeating Jeff Smith in the final to secure a place in Champions Week and winning the weekly top prize.

Owens, who entered the finale having finished 3rd in Group B on Thursday and Friday, began the night by winning both of his group phase matches, as he defeated John Henderson and Martin Thomas to progress through to the Semi Finals, where he came up against Sam Spivey, and from there, Owens defeated his compatriot, 4-3, to book his place in the final.

In the decider, Owens came up against Jeff Smith, who’d defeated John Henderson in the last four, and it was the Englishman who got the better of his Canadian opponent, as Owens defeated ‘The Silencer’ 4-1 to book his place in his first Champions Week as well as the handy prize fund.
