Former PDC tour card holder Radek Szaganski was amongst those to qualiy for Saturday’s weekly finale as Lewis Gurney, Archie Self, Carl Wilson and Paul Hogan also secured their places in on Friday after coming through their respective groups at the MODUS Super Series.
The successful five will now join Patrik Williams, the winner of Group A earlier in the week.
Gurney, who entered Friday’s play on 6 points from the opening day of Group C, topped the group overall after completing a clean sweep with five wins from five, as he recorded victories against Tommy Lishman, Aaron Gill, Lars-Erik Lindgreen, Scott Campbell and Archie Self, to end on 16 points from a possible 20 overall.
Elsewhere, Archie Self also progressed through to Saturday’s finale, after finishing 2ndoverall on 14 points, whilst Scott Campbell finished 3rd on 12 points, Tommy Lishman and Aaron Gill finishing 4th and 5th on 8 points and Lars-Erik Lindgreen finishing bottom on 2 points.
In Group B, Radek Szaganski topped the group overall after completing a clean sweep with four wins from four on Friday Evening, as he recorded victories against Paul Hogan, Steve Lennon, Johnny Haines and Carl Wilson, to end on 12 points from a possible 16 overall.
Elsewhere, Carl Wilson and Paul Hogan also progressed through to Saturday’s finale, after the pair finished 2nd and 3rd respectively overall, with Wilson ending on 10 points and Hogan on 8 points, whilst Steve Lennon finished 4th on 6 points and Johnny Haines bottom on 4 points.
The MODUS Super Series continues on Saturday with the conclusion of Week Three with the six players battling it out for just one spot up for grabs at Champions Week, with play commencing from 7:30pm GMT.
