A further 16 players, including John O’Shea, Matthew Dennant and Ryan De Vreede, progressed through to the Final Stage of their respective Q Schools on Monday, as Stage 1 continued in Milton Keynes and Niedernhausen.
Day 1 saw the likes of Michael Barnard, Nick Fullwell, Haupai Puha and Thibault Tricole progress through to the Final Stage of Q School, with Tuesday being the final opportunity for players to secure their place, either automatically, or via the Order of Merit.
UK Q School
Former World Masters winner, John O’Shea, headlined the 8 players who progressed through Day 2 of Stage 1 at UK Q School, after he came through six matches, in recording victories over Arron Monk, Niall Culleton, Thomas McCafferty, Alex Long, Daniel Day and Chris Quantock.
2x Challenge Tour Event Winner, Matthew Dennant, also progressed through to the Final Stage, as he bids to win back his Tour Card, after recording victories over Robert Thornton, Sean Fisher, Owen Emmett-Bowden, Robert Nelson and Simon Stevenson.
The remaining six players to progress through were Ryan Hogarth, Shaun Wilkinson, Kevin Garcia, Greg Ritchie, Shaun Griffiths and Joshua Burksfield, with Griffiths being the only player to have held a Tour Card before in his career.
European Q School
Dutchman Ryan De Vreede headlined the 8 players to progress through Day 2 of Stage 1 at European Q School, after he won five matches, in recording victories over Tom Heldt, Johannes Bruns, Robin Beger, Michal Smejda and Vincent Van der Meer.
The remaining seven players to progress through included German Duo Dragutin Horvat and Lukas Wenig, as well as Kai Gotthardt, Paulo Ferriera, Tony Martinez, Jens Ziegler and Bent Lambertsen.
PDC Q School continues on Tuesday, in the UK and in Europe, with the final 16 automatic spots up for grabs to move through to the Final Stage, with the remaining spots up for grabs via the Order of Merit, as play commences in Europe at 10:00 CET and in the UK at 10:30 GMT.
